Dennis the Conversion Specialist

SHAY: Interesting occupation, can you tell me what that is?

DENNIS: I assist with the conversion of energies.

SHAY: Can you give me an even simpler description?

DENNIS: Picture it this way...you die...I'm there to make sure you go where you're supposed to go.

SHAY: I see. So do you do any judging?

DENNIS: Oh no. I just flip the right switches, if you get my meaning.

SHAY: So does the judging come before or after you "flip the switches"?

DENNIS: Always after.

SHAY: So you just get things to the point where they CAN be judged?

DENNIS: You got it.

SHAY: I don't mean to offend, but it sounds like a simple job.

DENNIS: It is, in a way. I've been doing it for so long that it doesn't take much effort. But it’s still necessary, so I happily continue on.

SHAY: Can you explain the process a little more?

DENNIS: Okay, consider this: A sun explodes and destroys a bunch of planets, I have to make sure that all living things within that universe are prepared to be judged.

SHAY: So it definitely takes some work, you're not just dealing with an ant that died or anything. You're working on millions, if not trillions of beings all at once sometimes.

DENNIS: Correct.

SHAY: Have you ever been overloaded? To the point where you had to call in help?

DENNIS: It’s very rare, but it’s been known to happen. As you've been told, we do work in teams sometimes.

SHAY: Will there ever be a time when you won't do that particular job anymore?

DENNIS: Yes, but I'm in no hurry. This is a very necessary job, and I know that without this process, there could be lots of problems.

SHAY: For who?

DENNIS: For everything. Existence is a balance, if the balance gets out of whack because lives aren't converted properly...well...you don't want to see that happen, trust me.

SHAY: Has it ever happened?

DENNIS: Yes.

SHAY: Can you tell me about it?

DENNIS: Think of it this way, if 50 is divided by 10, you get a pure result, 5. If 50 is divided by 17, you have a remainder.  It's the same thing with energy conversion. If it’s not done properly then you get the equivalent of cosmic leftovers, and that's a whole different problem altogether.

SHAY: A job for another angel, huh?

DENNIS: You got it.

SHAY: Well, thank you for your time, you've been quite informative!

DENNIS: You're welcome.
